Blair: The Miracle Pup of the Winter Storm

On January 5th, as a brutal winter storm buried Kansas City under snow and record-low temperatures, an elderly resident was jolted awake at 4 a.m. by the sound of frantic barking outside his door.
When he stepped outside, he found something that broke his heart: a terrified dog, trapped in a cage and nearly buried under snow.

Unable to free her himself, he called KC Pet Project. Despite the icy roads, Officer Angel drove over an hour through blizzard conditions to reach the pup.
“When I got there, I could see her shivering, but when she saw me, her tail wagged so hard it shook the crate,” Angel recalled.

The pup was rushed to safety, warmed up, and given immediate care. Volunteers named her Blair — after the storm that nearly took her life. By a beautiful twist of fate, Officer Angel also has a daughter named Blair.
Blair was transferred to Missouri Pit Bull Rescue, where she quickly stole everyone’s hearts. Her foster mom, Katie, says:
“Her favorite place to be is almost inside my body. She’s Ms. Personality, obsessed with my dog, loves every person she meets, and is trying so hard to win over my cat.”

Blair is now thriving — warm, playful, and full of love — waiting for her forever home. After everything she’s endured, this little survivor deserves nothing less than the happiest life.
