Shiba Puppy Cries After Pitbull Bites and Breaks Its Tail – Emotional Image Sparks Online Debate
On April 14, an emotional photo of a Shiba Inu puppy crying, with its tail bleeding and broken in multiple places, went viral on social media. The image, posted by Facebook user Ryan Nguyễn, received over 13,000 likes and thousands of heartfelt comments. According to Ryan, his Shiba Inu was severely injured after being attacked by a Pitbull. “It’s the first time I’ve ever seen a dog cry,” he shared. Through the post, he wanted to warn pet owners to be cautious and never let their dogs get near a Pitbull.
The Shiba’s gentle and sorrowful face, with tears welling up in its eyes, broke the hearts of animal lovers and pet owners alike. Comments poured in: “It must be in so much pain,” “Please don’t cry anymore… your eyes are already swollen,” and “Poor thing, luckily it was bitten on the tail—not the face!”
The incident served as a wake-up call for many dog owners. Several people shared similar fears of their beloved pets encountering aggressive Pitbulls. One netizen recounted how their small Phốc dog was attacked by a Pitbull, which punctured its lung. Despite pleading with the Pitbull’s owner to intervene, they received no help. Tragically, the little dog didn’t survive. “Now, I can only look at its pictures,” the owner wrote, their post drenched in grief.
Unfortunately, this isn’t an isolated case. Similar attacks have been reported recently, stirring public outrage. On April 1 in Hanoi, a gentle Labrador was mauled to death by a Pitbull weighing over 20 kg. The Pitbull suddenly lunged at the chained Labrador, biting its neck and refusing to let go until the Labrador died. A bystander who tried to stop the attack was assaulted by the Pitbull’s owner and his father.
In another case from February, a Pitbull was seen attacking another dog at an intersection in Hanoi. Onlookers tried everything—pouring cold water and using sticks—to separate the dogs. Meanwhile, the Pitbull’s owner stood by, doing nothing.
These disturbing stories continue to ignite fierce discussion about pet safety, dog breed regulations, and the responsibilities of dog owners—especially those who own powerful breeds like Pitbulls.
