The poor Husky was found completely paralyzed in all four legs — a heartbreaking sight that moved everyone to tears

Despite enduring immense pain, she remains joyful and loving toward everyone who helped save her — even though all four of her legs can no longer move.

Georgina Milhet was enjoying a day off with her niece in Miami, out horseback riding, when she sensed something strange. Investigating the chicken coop on her property, she was shocked to find a Husky trapped inside.

Milhet gasped at the heartbreaking sight. She gave the poor dog a bottle of water, which the Husky gulped down immediately — she was clearly dehydrated.

The dog began crawling toward Milhet, wagging her tail. But something was off: she was dragging herself with her belly. Her legs seemed unable to move normally.

Milhet realized the dog was gravely injured. Her claws had grown so long that they curled back and pierced the pads of her paws. It was one of the worst injuries Milhet had ever seen.

She brought the Husky home, bathed her, and gave her the name Lucky. While trimming her fur, Milhet discovered that Lucky’s body was covered in deep scars.

After Milhet shared Lucky’s story online, a local Husky rescue group stepped in. They arranged for Lucky to be taken to a veterinarian to determine the best treatment for her severely injured limbs.

According to the rescue team’s coordinator, Natalie, Lucky’s condition may have been caused by a combination of injuries — or possibly a congenital disorder that worsened over time.

Lucia, another volunteer, wished for Lucky to undergo surgery to reconstruct her legs. But veterinarians warned it would be a painful and lengthy process with low chances of success.

Despite consulting with top veterinary surgeons in the area, surgery was ultimately discouraged. The process would involve multiple invasive procedures — far too much for Lucky to endure.

Instead, the team opted to fit Lucky with custom-designed prosthetic legs. These would allow her to walk again and reclaim a sense of freedom.

Until then, she is staying at the rescue center — safe and loved. It’s both heartwarming and heartbreaking to see her wagging her tail despite the pain. At the shelter, Lucky has her own bed, toys, and enjoys playing with other dogs.

Lucia said that once Lucky’s recovery is further along, she will be available for adoption. Her personality is gentle and affectionate — she seeks love from everyone, even complete strangers.

After everything she’s been through, Lucky doesn’t harbor resentment.
She just wants to be loved.
