Rescue of a Dog Found with Muzzle Tightly Bound by Rubber Bands in Lang Son
On May 24, an animal rescue fanpage shared heartbreaking photos of a stray dog in Lang Son. The poor dog’s muzzle had been tightly bound with rubber bands for days, causing it to swell painfully. Its tongue was forced out, leaving it unable to eat or drink. Every time someone tried to approach, the terrified dog ran away. It was believed the dog had escaped from dog thieves.
Immediately, a volunteer rescue team from Hanoi set out to Lang Son to search for the dog. The mission proved extremely difficult. The team shared: “We woke up at 4:30 a.m. and walked around town asking everyone. People said they saw the dog yesterday, but not today. We saw many black dogs, but they all belonged to local families—not the one we were looking for.”
Just when hope was fading, on the afternoon of May 26, they received news that the dog had wandered into a local resident’s garden. The volunteers rushed to the scene, secured the dog in a crate, and transported it to Hanoi for urgent treatment.
As soon as the news was shared online, many people breathed a sigh of relief. Emotional comments flooded in:
-
“You are truly admirable. May you continue your meaningful work with lots of support.”
-
“It’s heartbreaking how cruel some people can be. Thankfully, this dog has been found and will finally receive care and love.”
-
“Thank you to the rescue team—your actions are truly commendable.”
This story not only exposes human cruelty but also shines a light on compassion, perseverance, and the power of kindness in saving lives.
