Over 75 Dogs Rescued from Abandoned Home in West Tennessee
More than 75 dogs were rescued on Monday from a filthy, abandoned home in West Tennessee.
The operation was a joint effort between Animal Rescue Corps and the Dyer City Police in Gibson County. According to the rescue group, the dogs had been left completely alone in the home, where they endured severe overcrowding, frequent fighting, and dangerously high levels of ammonia — among the worst the organization has ever encountered.
Many of the dogs were also found with injuries caused by prolonged neglect.
All of the animals have been transported to a rescue center just outside of Nashville, where they are now receiving much-needed medical care and attention.
