A few weeks ago, a severely injured female dog was brought to This Is Houston, an animal rescue group in Texas.
From the moment she arrived, it was clear to the team that she needed urgent care.
During her initial check-up, veterinarians uncovered a troubling detail: the dog — later named Violet — had been covered in a strong purple antiseptic, typically used to treat livestock like cows.
While likely intended to help her mange, the solution was far too harsh for a small, fragile dog like Violet. Thankfully, the medical team was able to stabilize her and begin proper treatment.
Photos and videos of Violet — still tinted purple — were shared on This Is Houston’s social media, and her heartbreaking appearance quickly captured the hearts of thousands online.
