The Incredible Willpower of a Two-Legged Stray Dog Who Refused to Give Up
Poor Estrella was born without her two front legs and abandoned on the streets. Yet through sheer determination, she eventually learned to move freely on just her two hind legs.
Despite her disability, Estrella still happily plays with other dogs as if nothing is missing.
Estrella is a mixed-breed mutt who was cruelly abandoned by her former owner because of her deformity. Born without her front legs, her chances of survival seemed impossibly slim.
But today, this 1.5-year-old pup has turned her greatest challenge into her greatest strength — and has become an inspiration to many.
Estrella was adopted at just six months old by Ivan Escobar and Elva Carhuaz, a couple who run an animal care center in Tinga Maria, Peru.
Her uniqueness soon made her famous. Many visitors come to the family’s center just to see Estrella’s incredible way of moving. Some even wanted to adopt her, but Ivan and Elva decided she was meant to stay with them.
Through her own perseverance, Estrella learned how to walk upright on her hind legs, hopping like a little kangaroo.
“She was just like a baby learning how to walk. That’s what we’ve witnessed since the day we took her in,” Carhuaz shared. “Estrella really taught herself how to move again.”
Now, Estrella isn’t just surviving — she’s thriving. Her story continues to touch countless hearts, proving that love and resilience can overcome even the harshest beginnings.
