Injured Dog Rescued After Being Impaled at Construction Site
Residents noticed a dog lying on the ground at a construction site and, upon closer inspection, discovered that a metal rod had pierced through her thigh, leaving her trapped and unable to move.
They immediately contacted Animal Aid for help. A rescue team arrived and arranged for workers to bring an electric saw to carefully cut the rod. Despite the loud noise and stress caused by the process, the dog remained as calm as possible while the rescuers worked to free her.
The injury was serious, but fortunately no bones were broken. The wound was thoroughly cleaned, bandaged, and treated with antibiotics. Following the incident, the dog received continuous medical care along with patient handling to support her recovery.
After one month of daily wound treatment and attentive care, the dog—named Shylee—was able to heal and is now in much better condition.
