This incredible event took place in California, where a man and his dog were out hiking when they were suddenly attacked by a mountain lion. As the predator lunged, the dog – a Belgian Malinois named Eva – didn’t hesitate. She threw herself at the big cat, distracting it and giving her owner a chance to escape and call for help.
Though Eva suffered serious injuries in the battle, her courage and loyalty saved her human’s life. She was later treated at a veterinary hospital and survived, hailed as a true hero.
