Lucky escape: Puppy saved after being wedged between two brick walls for four long hours

Playful Puppy Rescued After Getting Stuck Between Brick Walls

A curious 12-week-old English Setter named Pixie had to be rescued after becoming wedged between two brick walls at her home in Flemington, Melbourne.

Animal rescue used a hammer to smash a hole in the garage wall and finally free Pixie at about 4.30pm

According to the Herald Sun, Pixie was exploring the backyard on Tuesday when her playful adventure took a surprising turn — she somehow slipped into a narrow gap between the walls and couldn’t get out.

Her owner, David Griffiths, tried everything to free her but eventually had to call in animal rescue shortly after midday.

“They had to use a hammer to break through the garage wall,” Griffiths said. “She’s a very naughty little pup… out playing and having a little adventure when she got stuck. I don’t know how she managed it, but she jumped into this gap and got completely wedged.”

After several hours of careful work, rescuers were finally able to free Pixie at around 4:30 p.m. using a hammer and drill.

Fortunately, the mischievous pup was unharmed and is now safely back at home — hopefully a bit more cautious on her next backyard adventure.
