Severely Injured and in Agony—She Needs Help to Keep Her Legs

When rescuers first found her, she was dragging herself beside a busy road—her body low to the ground, her back legs twisted unnaturally, and her eyes clouded with pain.

She didn’t bark. She didn’t cry.
She simply looked up, pleading—not with words, but with a heartbreaking silence.

“We knew immediately it was serious,” said one of the rescue volunteers.
“There were open wounds, possible fractures, and signs that she had been like this for days.”

Abandoned, broken, and barely holding on

The dog, later named Luna, had likely been hit by a vehicle. But instead of being rushed to a vet, she had been left to suffer, unable to move properly, exposed to the elements.

Her hind legs were swollen, bleeding, and possibly infected.
X-rays later confirmed: multiple fractures, torn ligaments, and the early stages of necrosis—tissue death.

Without immediate intervention, Luna could lose both legs.

There’s still hope—but time is running out

Veterinarians say Luna needs emergency surgery, followed by weeks of intensive care, pain management, and physiotherapy. If treated in time, she has a real chance to walk again.

“She’s in pain, yes. But she’s fighting,” said the attending vet.
“She wags her tail. She tries to stand. She hasn’t given up—and neither will we.”

A call for compassion

The rescue organization caring for Luna has launched an emergency appeal to raise funds for her surgery and aftercare. Every donation brings her closer to standing, running, and living pain-free.

“This is her only chance,” a spokesperson said.
“Without support, we may have to amputate. But we believe she deserves more than just survival—she deserves to heal.”

Luna is safe now. She’s receiving food, warmth, and gentle hands that care.
But her future still hangs in the balance.

She didn’t choose this pain.
But now, we can choose to help her walk again.
