A heartbreaking photo taken by a bystander showing a dog being brutally dragged behind a car has gone viral on Chinese social media, sparking widespread outrage and condemnation.
Thousands of netizens expressed deep anger over the act of animal cruelty, denouncing the heartless owner and launching efforts to track down his identity.
The dog, tied by the neck and attached to the rear of a luxury car, was unable to keep up with the vehicle’s speed. It collapsed and was dragged across the concrete road, sustaining severe injuries—its legs torn, bleeding heavily.
A young woman and her friends witnessed the horrifying scene and attempted to alert the driver, urging him to stop. Shockingly, the man ignored them and continued to drive, dragging the poor dog to its death.
After the story and images were shared online, they quickly spread across forums. Outraged users worked together to identify the driver. Eventually, a netizen revealed his name as Zheng Weiyang, allegedly residing in Jieyang, Guangdong Province.
Despite attempts to reach him, phone numbers linked to Zheng have reportedly been disconnected. Nevertheless, the online community remains determined to bring his cruel actions into the light and demand accountability for this inhumane treatment.
