Blue – The Abandoned Dog Who Cried Quietly Waiting for a Master That Would Never Return
A dog’s loyalty can move hearts—but behind that loyalty is often a deep love that people easily forget.
Blue King, or simply Blue, is a pit bull who was left at the Carson Shelter in California after living with a family for about a year. When they moved away, they decided not to take him along.
Since being abandoned, Blue grew quiet and withdrawn. He refused to interact with people or other dogs. While other dogs wagged their tails and ate happily, Blue didn’t even glance at his food.
Sometimes, the staff saw tears in Blue’s eyes. Every time someone came to the shelter, Blue would perk up, hoping it was his old owner—only to be crushed with disappointment again.
Deeply touched by his loyalty, shelter staff posted a video of Blue on Facebook, hoping someone would open their heart and home to him.
That post reached thousands—and then, a kind woman named McKay came to meet him.
“At first, he was still withdrawn and cautious,” McKay shared. “It took about a week for him to warm up. But once he did, he turned into a happy, affectionate dog. He loves sleeping, getting cuddles, and even looking at himself in the mirror.”
Today, Blue has a real home and a family that won’t leave him behind.
