A small cat—barely more than a kitten—was found wandering near an alley, her fur dyed unnatural colors and her frail body covered in open wounds. Her eyes, once bright, now looked dull and distant, as if she had seen far too much cruelty for a creature her size.
She had been used for someone’s amusement.
Sprayed with harsh dye, likely from a chemical not meant for animals.
Her skin was inflamed, burned in patches, and her thin legs shook as she tried to walk.
Someone had hurt her—and then left her like she meant nothing.
Passersby stopped in horror. A few took photos. But one woman did more—she picked up the trembling cat, wrapped her in a jacket, and rushed her to a nearby animal clinic.
Veterinarians were shocked.
“The wounds were clearly intentional. This was abuse, not neglect,” one vet said.
The dye had soaked deep into her skin, causing painful burns. The cuts across her body suggested she’d been scratched, maybe even slashed, likely while trying to escape.
Despite the pain, the little cat purred when gently touched—as if desperate to feel kindness again.
She was named Luna, for the quiet glow that still shined in her, even in darkness.
