The Incredible Transformation of Ga – From a Mange-Ridden Stray to a Happy, Beloved Dog
It’s hard to believe that the bright-eyed, soft-coated, and affectionate dog Ga is today was once abandoned in heartbreaking condition on Hanoi’s Long Bien Bridge.
When rescuers first found him, the sight was devastating: his frail body was covered in mange, his swollen face bleeding and deformed, his eyes nearly shut from infection. Exhausted and defeated, Ga could do nothing but lower his head in despair, desperately trying to shoo away the swarming flies feeding on his painful wounds.
Brought to the Cat & Dog Rescue Station, Ga was weak and starving, too tired to even stand properly. Yet, in the presence of helping hands, he showed remarkable gentleness and cooperation—as if holding on to a fragile spark of hope.
Over the following months, that hope blossomed into a miracle. With dedicated care and love from the rescue team, his wounds healed, his bare skin sprouted new fur, and the sadness in his eyes was replaced by a newfound glow.
Today, Ga is unrecognizable from the dog he once was. Healthy, playful, and deeply attached to his caregivers, he radiates happiness every single day. His journey is a powerful reminder that with love and compassion, even the deepest scars can heal.
