In the United States, a poor dog named Jude was rescued in a life-threatening condition after his former owner cruelly wrapped duct tape around his muzzle, leaving him with a deep, infected wound. What is truly remarkable is that despite such horrific abuse, Jude remains incredibly affectionate, wagging his tail joyfully whenever he meets people.
Jude, a pitbull mix, was just a day old when a passerby first discovered him wandering the streets. Through the Dog Rescue Network, he was taken in for emergency care. Veterinarians revealed that most of the tissue around Jude’s muzzle had been destroyed, with the infection spreading deep into his nasal cavity. He had already lost several teeth and suffered partial hearing loss due to severe trauma to his right ear.
Animal rescue expert Hayley Zielinski described Jude’s case as “a heartbreaking example of animal cruelty.” She explained that Jude urgently needs reconstructive surgery, skin grafts, and extensive treatments to control the infection, with medical costs estimated at nearly $10,000.
Despite his suffering, Jude continues to show nothing but love and trust toward humans. Volunteers are now raising funds in hopes that Jude can receive the treatment he needs, recover fully, and finally enjoy the happy life he deserves.
