Abandoned Dog Found With Heartbreaking Note Outside Stafford Home
A dog named Woody was discovered tied up outside a house in Stafford, Staffordshire, with no food or water — just a handwritten note that read:
“Hello! My name is Woody. I am looking for a family. I love children and am cat friendly. If interested, please give the door a knock.”
Wearing an electric collar and lying on a patch of grass beside empty bowls, Woody appeared to have been left there for days. Local resident Sophie found him on September 27, took him into a warm home, fed him, and gave him water.
“How can anyone be so cruel and spiteful to an animal? Don’t buy a dog if you can’t look after it,” Sophie said.
After contacting the authorities, Sophie arranged for a friend to adopt Woody, ensuring he now has the loving forever home he deserves.
Woody’s story comes as another neglected dog, Milo — a Shih Tzu found last year in Ireland with severely matted, faeces-covered fur — also found his happy ending after months of care.
