On a warm summer evening in Los Angeles, California, Suzette Hall’s phone rang with yet another plea for help. As the founder of Logan’s Legacy 29, a rescue dedicated to saving abandoned dogs, Hall receives urgent calls almost daily—but something about this case felt especially heartbreaking.

They rushed Panda to Camino Pet Hospital. While the team had feared physical injuries, the truth turned out to be far more urgent: Panda was suffering from parvovirus—a highly contagious and often deadly disease, especially for young, unvaccinated dogs.
“Just a puppy,” Hall wrote. “And already fighting for his life.”

He began a strict regimen of IV fluids, antibiotics, and round-the-clock monitoring. And slowly, something beautiful began to happen—Panda started to fight back.
Day by day, his strength returned. Two weeks after being pulled from beneath the car, Panda wagged his tail for the first time. And not long after that, he finished his final dose of medication. The once hopeless little dog was officially declared parvo-free.
“Another miracle,” Hall wrote, sharing a picture of Panda grinning from ear to ear.
With his health restored, Panda moved into a foster-to-adopt home where he quickly settled in. He bonded instantly with the family’s other dog, who took him under his wing and helped him navigate this new, love-filled life. Within weeks, it was clear Panda had found his forever place.
“He’s adopted!” Hall joyfully announced. “Panda is officially home, and he’s already soaking up all the love.”
From a dark corner under a car to a bright and loving home, Panda’s transformation was nothing short of remarkable. His journey is a powerful reminder of what compassion, community, and a little bit of faith can do.
“His foster family fell in love and couldn’t let him go,” Hall told The Dodo. “Now he’s part of something beautiful—a family that will never let him feel forgotten again.”
